New procedure for making appointments
LEA is fundamentally changing the procedure for allocating appointments with immediate effect. Appointments can no longer be booked via the previous Online Appointment System (OTV). The OTV, has now been permanently decommissioned.
The main reason for this decision is that, in particular, providers operating on the Internet had increasingly siphoned off the dates available on OTV in order to sell them. Many appointments were not available to our customers or were only available at a fee. This abusive business model is now being deprived of its basis.
If an online application form is not yet available for the required service, appointments can be made with the relevant departments using the contact form:

Please also check the supplementary sheet of your residence permit to see whether a study prognosis (Studienprognose) is required for the extension!
Important: Please register for an appointment ca . 4- 6 weeks before your residence permit expires!
The certificate that is displayed to you after submitting the online form is valid as proof of your application and extends the validity of your current residence document until the date of the appointment at the LEA. This also applies to all ancillary provisions of these documents, in particular with regard to the type and scope of permitted working purposes.
Please just print and safe this message/certificate!
Please note when traveling abroad: re-entry into Germany is only possible with a residence title that is still valid, but not with the certificate of the booked appointment.
