Visa and stay: I can enter visa-free: How do I apply for the residence permit after arrival in Berlin?

Citizens of Australia, Canada, Israel, Japan, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand and the United States can enter Germany without a visa.  This also applies to nationals of Andorra, Brazil, El Salvador, Honduras, Monaco and San Marino, but with restrictions on gainful employment.

You must obtain the necessary residence permit within 90 days of entry.
You can apply for a residence permit by e-mail or by post to the LEA (Berlin Immigration Office) using the appropriate application form. Please note that your application can't be processed without this form.
Please only come to Berlin Immigration Office once you have been invited to an appointment.

Please also pay attention to possible quarantine regulations when entering from a risk area!
Please trust that we will give you all the necessary support!
