If you are exmatriculated, you will lose all rights and entitlements at the university from the date of official exmatriculation. These include, among others:
- No longer any access to lectures or other academic offerings provided by the school.
- Loss of your student status – this also means you no longer have entitlements from the Student Services offered by StudierendenWerk Berlin. This includes, for example, the student meal rate in the cafeteria or the right to a room in student housing.
- No longer any access to school facilities such as the library, computerstudio, equipment loan service, or study rooms/studios.
- No longer entitled to the mandatory health insurance coverage under the student status with the statutory health insurance.
- No further entitlement to BAföG – please inform your local BAföG office immediately about your exmatriculation.
- If you are employed as a student assistant or tutor: Please inform your respective department early on.
- Discounts at museums, galleries, theaters, and other cultural offerings under the student discount scheme will no longer apply.
- You are no longer entitled to the Germany Semester Ticket.
