How can I be exempted from the obligation to take the ticket?

Exemption is possible upon application if there is a reason for exemption (see information on the attached application form).

The application must be submitted to the Department of Student Affairs by 20 July 2026 but no later than 20 September 2026.

Students in special social situations or with a particularly low income can apply for a subsidy for the Deutschlandsemesterticket.
